Biography
Should compete in freestyle events … … was part of relay teams that set the school record in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:36.26), the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:31.03) and the 800-yard freestyle relay (7:46.43) … also swam on the 200-yard medley relay that broke a school record (1:48.52) as a sophomore, but the record has since been broken.
2009-10: Was a PSAC Scholar-Athlete for the second consecutive season … received the NCAA Division II Athletics Directors Association (ADA) Academic Achievement Award … earned All-PSAC honors as part of the 200-yard freestyle team, which finished third at the PSAC Championships … qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships as a member of the 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle teams, as well as in the 100-yard and 200-yard freestyle individual events … earned all-america honors as a member of the 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle relay teams.
2008-09: Named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete and a Scholar All-American by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a sophomore … qualified for the 2009 NCAA Division II National Championships as part of the 400-medley relay team.
High School: Swam for head coach Barb Medvec at Burrell (Pa.) High School … was a four-time PIAA State qualifier and four-time WPIAL medalist … earned a varsity letter four times … received four NISCA State Top 16 awards … was a four-time All-State honorable-mention selection … served as a team captain … named to the Valley News Dispatch All-Star team … was a three-sport athlete, lettering three times in cheerleading and twice in track … received the Judge Driscoll Scholar-Athlete award … was a high honor student … received the Burrell Gridiron Scholarship.
