Beer is expected to compete for playing time as an infielder during his first season at Gannon in 2016 … transferred from Niagara County (N.Y.) Community College … has one year of eligibility remaining.

At Niagara County CC: Played for head coach Matt Clingersmith … was the teammate of fellow Golden Knights Joey Colosi and Ryan Hancy … named Region Player of the Year as a sophomore … earned all-america honors during his sophomore season … named to the all-conference first team as a sophomore … hit .417 (58-139) with three home runs, 50 runs, 34 RBIs and 22 stolen bases as a sophomore … helped Niagara County advance to the Junior College Division III World Series as a freshman.

High School: Attended M.M. Robinson High School in Burlington, Ontario.

Personal: Sport and Exercise Science major … has one sister and one brother … is the son of Lynn and Calvin … has been named to the Dean’s List every year at Niagara County and Gannon.
