Biography
Expected to compete in backstroke and freestyle events … holds the school record in the 100-yard backstroke (52.89) … was part of the 400-yard medley relay team that holds the school record with a time of three minutes and 28.97 seconds … is also a member of the Gannon water polo team.
2010-11: Qualified for the PSAC Championships with a time of 56.28 in the 100-yard backstroke against NCAA Division I Canisius, finishing third … swam the 100-yard backstroke in 54.41 at the conference championships … helped the 400-yard medley relay team break a school record at the PSAC Championships, placing fourth with a time of three minutes and 28.97 seconds … was part of relay teams that finished third against NCAA Division I Canisius in both the 400-yard freestyle (3:27.06) and the 400-yard medley (3:42.27) … captured a relay gold medal in the 200-yard medley (1:38.68) at the Indiana (Pa.) Invitational.
High School: Swam for head coach Dave Schultz at McDowell (Pa.) High School … was a two-time Swimmer of the Year … earned All-America honors three times … broke the District 10 relay record … won the 100-yard backstroke at the 2008 District 10 Championships … was part of every record-breaking relay team at McDowell.
Personal: Pre-Law major … has one sister and one brother … son of Tracie and Matthew … is also a member of the ROTC.
