Biography

Milanak will compete for mat time in the 141-pound class … is one of three returning national qualifiers for the Golden Knights.

2009-10: Was a PSAC Scholar-Athlete … named to the Academic All-America second team … wrestled at 141-pound class, finishing the season with a 16-7 overall record and a 9-2 record in dual meets … was 3-1 at the National Duals … earned a crucial 5-3 decision in Gannon’s 18-16 victory over Nebraska-Kearney … finished the regular season with six straight dual-meet victories … finished fourth at the NCAA Division II East Region Championship after three wins in the wrestleback bracket … earned all-america status after finishing sixth at the NCAA Division II Championship with three wins. 

2008-09:
Was a PSAC Scholar-Athlete … went 33-12 overall and 9-3 in dual matches … led the team in overall victories … posted the fourth-highest single-season victory total in school history, as well as the 17th-most dual victories in a season all-time at Gannon … was one of three grapplers to win nine dual matches … opened the season with a 5-2 record at the Buffalo Open … won the 141-pound title at the National Catholic Invitational, going 4-0 … posted a 3-3 mark at the Ashland Open, finishing sixth … went 2-1 en route to a runner-up finish at the PSAC Championships … placed fourth at the Midwest Classic with a 5-1 record … won five consecutive dual contests from January 10 to February 7 … won first two matches at the NCAA Division II East Regional, eventually placing fifth.

High School:
Wrestled for head coach Chuck Tursky at Kiski Area (Pa.) High School … holds the school’s single-season and career records for takedowns … posted a 127-25 career record … named “Most Outstanding Wrestler” in 2005.

Personal: Accounting major … has one sister … son of Sue and Andrew Milanak.
