Expected to compete in sprint freestyle events.
2010-11: Recorded three PSAC-qualifying times, including two in the 100-yard freestyle … met conference standards in the 100-yard freestyle (49.05) and the 200-yard freestyle (1:48.43) at the Mid-Season Invitational … performed the feat again in the 100-yard freestyle (49.12) during a tri-meet with Edinboro and Clarion … posted a time of 1:46.93 in the 200-yard freestyle at the PSAC Championships … finished among the top three five times in individual races … helped relay teams obtain a medal eight times, including gold medals in the 200-yard freestyle against both Penn State Behrend (1:29.82) and Fredonia State (1:29.47).
2009-10: Was part of the 800-yard freestyle relay team that broke the school record with a time of seven minutes and 3.44 seconds.
High School: Swam for head coach Dave Schultz at McDowell (Pa.) High School … was an All-American in the 200-yard medley relay as a senior … received the Donald Locke Memorial and John Mennin awards … was a district and state participant … served as a team captain … received an all-state award in the 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay as a senior … helped McDowell finish second at the district championships.
