2024: Earned a spot in the rotation as a true freshman and ended up leading the team in victories with a 3-2 record … made 10 appearances with six starts, posting a 7.01 ERA … in 34.2 innings allowed 39 hits and 20 walks while striking out 27 … picked up first career victory in 2-1 win over Tiffin (3/8/24) with 1.1 innings in relief, allowing a hit with two strikeouts … top game of year came in 3-2 win over California (Pa.) (4/7/24), starting and going five innings … gave up two hits with a walks and a strikeout and allowing one run … had a season-high five strikeouts in last two games vs. Clarion (4/27/24) and at Seton Hill (5/3/24).

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Matthew Ponting at North Ridgeville (Oh.) High School … was a three-year starter in baseball along with starting four years in basketball and earning two letters in golf … was named the 2023 North Ridgeville High School Athlete of the Year … in baseball as a senior had an 8-2 record with a 1.06 ERA … in 53 innings struck out 76 while leading team to a 15-7 record … departed as the school record holder in season and career strikeouts along with most wins as a starting pitcher … was a first team All-Conference and All-District selection as a senior after earning honorable mention accolades in both as a junior … in basketball departed with school record 1,147 career points … averaged 20 points and 11 rebounds per game as a senior while leading North Ridgeville to 18-7 record … was a first team All-Conference and All-County selection as a senior and was named the Southwest Conference MVP … also a second team All-District choice and All-Ohio Special Mention … as a junior earned first team All-County and second team All-Conference honors and was honorable mention All-Conference and All-County as a sophomore … strong student as well, earning All Southwest Conference Scholar Athlete accolades three times and was on High Honor Roll (4.638 GPA) … member of National Honor Society.

PERSONAL: Biomedical Engineering major … son of Michele and Ron Boynar … has one sister (Brooke) … mother played volleyball at Baldwin Wallace.
