2024: Appeared in and started all 10 games … earned first team All-PSAC West accolades on the defensive line … finished with 40 tackles to lead all defensive linemen. That included team-leading 9.5 TFL for 52 yards and 4.5 sacks … forced two fumbles and recovered one … posted season-high seven tackles with 1,5 sacks at East Stroudsburg (9/15/24) … added six tackles in three games, including vs. Seton Hill (10/5/24) and Clarion (11/9/24) with 2.5 TFL, a sacks and a forced fumble.
2023: Emerged as a starter on the defensive line at defensive end … started all 11 contests, totaling 49 tackles, with 22 solo and 27 assists … led team with 13.5 TFL for 37 yards and was second in sacks with 6.5 … broke up one pass and forced a fumble … had career-high nine tackles, four solo, at West Chester (9/16/23), with 1.5 TFL … had six tackles, with three TFL and two sacks in season-finale at Shippensburg (11/11/23), along with 2.5 TFL and two sacks at Seton Hill (9/30/23) … took part in a TFL in 10 of 11 games.
2022: Played in seven games as a reserve defensive lineman … finished with three totals, all assists, and had 0.5 sacks … took part in a pair of tackles vs. Charleston (WV) (9/1/22) with the half-sack and also had a tackle vs. Mercyhurst (10/22/22).
2021: Played in two games before going down with an injury and missing the rest of the season … received a medical redshirt year … finished with 3 tackles, a pair of those solo … was in on a pair of tackles in first collegiate action at Bloomsburg.
High School: Played for head coach Tom Lombardo at fabled St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio, one of the top programs in Ohio … the Eagles finished with a 6-2 record in an abbreviated 2020 season, including wins over rivals St. Ignatius and Mentor … in 2019, St. Edward was 11-2, losing to Mentor 29-28 in the season opener then running off 11 straight wins before falling again to Mentor, 36-35 in overtime, in the OHSAA Division I regional finals … member of 2018 St. Edward team that went 11-3 and captured the Ohio Division I state championship with a 24-10 win over Colerain.
Personal: Finance major … son of Connie and Charles Calhoun … has two sisters (Lexus Arnold and Courtney Calhoun) … has several cousins who have played collegiate athletics – Vincent Ellis (football at Notre Dame, Ohio), Justin Ellis (football at Findlay), Kevin Calhoun (basketball at Northwood), and Antonio Hills (football at Mount Union).
