ERIE, Pa. - Gannon takes great pride in the achievements of its student-athletes in the classroom. Golden Knight student-athletes recently completed another unprecedented semester academically. After posting a cumulative grade point average of 3.475 in the Fall 2025 semester, Gannon's more than 600 student-athletes posted an impressive 3.516 GPA in the Spring 2026 semester.   
In addition to the successful GPA during the spring as teams, 109 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA during the semester.
 
The 12 women's intercollegiate teams produced a combined 3617 GPA during Spring 2026, with all 12 posting at least a 3.176 GPA. The nine men's intercollegiate teams produced a combined 3.381 GPA. Six of those programs had a GPA of at least 3.500.
 
Women's Basketball had the highest GPA of 3.809, followed by Softball at 3.770, and Women's Cross Country at 3.765.

During the 2026 Spring semester, four student-athletes were awarded with the prestigious PSAC Champion Scholar award for their respective sport: Libby Kibler (Attica, N.Y./Attica Senior) (women's swimming), Dylan Ray (Pinckney, Mich./Pinckney Community) (men's swimming), Victor Desmond (Onalaska, Wisc./Onalaska) (men's basketball), and Emily Donahue (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) (women's golf). Also, during the NCAA Championship tournament, Kyle Westfall (Erie, Pa./Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy (Erie)) of men's golf was named Elite Scholar Athlete for the year, the second consecutive year he has earned the honor.
