ERIE, PA - Multiple Golden Knights claimed WWPA regular season awards, it was announced by the conference on Wednesday. Freshman Maria Martinez (Barcelona, Spain/Jesuïtes Gràcia Col·legi Kostka) was named to the all-conference second team as well as the all-freshman team, while senior Molly Fehr (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria) was tabbed for the all-defensive team. 

A freshman who has taken the WWPA by storm, Martinez totaled 60 goals (2nd in the WWPA) and 22 assists for a team-best 82 points while shooting an efficient .517 from the field. She finished the regular season third in the conference in scoring. Her ability to finish at a high rate while also creating opportunities for teammates makes her one of the most dangerous offensive players in the WWPA field.

In her senior season, Fehr totaled 28 goals and 13 assists and has a shot percentage of .500.Her 41 points rank third on the team, and Fehr has also earned 13 steals throughout the course of the season.She has routinely been a critical part of the Golden Knights defensive core as well on the backend. Fehr was named a WWPA All-Conference Honorable Mention a season ago.

Gannon will begin their playoff quest on Friday, April 10th at 2:00 pm when they face Cal State Monterey Bay in the WWPA Quarterfinals.
