ERIE, PA - Gannon University's
Emily Donahue (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) is the recipient of the PSAC Champion Scholar Award for Women's Golf in the spring of 2026.
Donahue, who hails from Grove City, Pa., is a senior that has maintained an impressive 3.97 grade point average through 121 credits while pursuing a degree in nursing.
Initiated for the 2011-12 academic year, the PSAC Champion Scholar Awards are modeled after the NCAA's Elite 90 awards and honor the student-athlete with the top grade point average who is competing at the site of each of the PSAC's 22 team championship finals.
The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar Awards is nearly identical to that of the NCAA Elite 90 awards, which honor the student-athlete with the top GPA at each of the championship finals sites of the 90 NCAA championships across all three divisions - I, II and III.
Student-athletes must meet the following criteria:
1. Must have completed at least 48 credit hours (which could include accepted credits from previous institutions).
2. Must be utilizing at least his/her second year of eligibility as a student-athlete at your institution.
3. Is an active member on the team's roster and a member of the squad competing in the respective PSAC Championship.
Donahue becomes the seventh Golden Knight this academic year to receive a PSAC Champion Scholar recognition. She is also the third Gannon women's golfer ever to receive the award Previously, Annie Yovich (2016) and Kelly Nickerson (2012) earned the award.
