ERIE, PA - Gannon student-athletes Logan Sallot (Erie, PA/McDowell High School), Emily Hedges (Peachtree Corners, Ga./St Pius X Catholic), and Victor Desmond (Onalaska, Wisc./Onalaska) have been nominated for the 2025-26 NACDA Winter Good Works Team, it was announced Tuesday by the NCAA & NACDA.

The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team is made up of 60 student-athletes (20 per season) across all sanctioned men's and women's college sports and divisions who go above and beyond in volunteerism and civic engagement, complementing their achievements in academics and sports. 

Hedges has been active in the Gannon community, serving at several non-profits and other institutions around Erie. She has spent time as a volunteer at the Millcreek Mall and Erie Children's museum as part of the Chemistry Club, a dental volunteer at LECOM, and actively participates in Gannon's annual Day of Caring. 

Sallot, a sophomore, has been instrumental in assisting with the Gannon's GIVE Day, as well as other men's wrestling team community service acts to help clean up the City of Erie and the Gannon Community. Sallot also volunteers at youth wrestling clinics and camps, helps his elderly neighbor with dog walking and donates warm clothes every year to the Salvation Army.

Desmond, now in his senior year with the Golden Knights, has played an active role in giving back to the Erie Community during his time with the Golden Knights. Desmond is a active participant in all team community service efforts, including quarterly trash clean up efforts along Erie's East Side, as well as men's basketball's efforts during Gannon's GIVE Day.

The final team of 20 student-athletes for the 2025-26 NACDA Winter Good Works Team will be announced in February.
