The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced Monday that defensive specialist Alexis Fowler (Cranberry Township, PA/Eden Christian Academy) has been named the league's Defensive Athlete of the Week, marking both her first career accolade and Gannon's first PSAC West weekly honor of the 2025 season.

The No. 19 Golden Knights opened the weekend against No. 1 Lynn but quickly bounced back, dropping the opener before winning three straight matches to finish 3-1 at the Opening Roar Tournament. Fowler anchored the back row throughout the event, averaging a team-best 3.81 digs per set.

She delivered a career-high 30 digs in a five-set win over Adelphi and added 17 more in a four-set victory over Assumption. She also contributed five aces, 12 assists, and a .930 serve-receive percentage on 100 attempts.
