GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – No. 1 Lynn lived up to its top ranking in the opening match of the season, defeating No. 19 Gannon 3-1 on Friday afternoon. The Golden Knights showed fight with a third-set win but could not slow down Lynn's attack.

Carissa Treser (Sewickley, Pa./North Allegheny), Abbey Williams (Chicago, Ill./Mother Mcauley Liberal Arts), and Sydney Wake (Massillon, Ohio/Jackson) each delivered 12 kills as the Golden Knights completed the comeback to close the day with a 1-1 record.
