Senior goalkeeper Samuel Alarcon (Madrid, Spain/Colegio el Valle II) has been named the PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week, the conference announced Monday afternoon. The recognition marks the fifth PSAC weekly honor of his career.

 Alarcon anchored the back line, highlighted by a crucial penalty-kick save in the 75th minute at Post that preserved a 1–1 result. He then followed with another strong performance in a 3–1 victory over PSAC East opponent West Chester. 

For the week, the senior netminder finished with four saves while allowing just two goals in 180 minutes of action, good for a 1.00 goals-against average.

On the season, the Madrid, Spain native has appeared in four of Gannon's five matches, starting in four. He owns a 1.14 goals-against average and a .636 save percentage while playing 315 total minutes in goal. His efforts have helped the Golden Knights to a 2-1-2 overall record.
