LIVE SCORING

ERIE, Pa. – A total of 20 teams and 108 total golfers will descend on Whispering Woods Golf Club as Gannon hosts the 2025 NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional on Thursday, May 8 to Saturday, May 10. The Golden Knights are the defending champions of the Atlantic/East Regional and are looking to earn a fourth trip to the NCAA Div. II National Championships in the last five years.

Two weeks ago many of these same teams competed in the Atlantic/East Regional Preview, providing an opportunity to see the course. Now the stakes are much higher with teams qualifying for the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships.

At a minimum, the top three teams and the top two golfers not with a team from each regional will advance to the finals. The championships run from May 19-23 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The remaining eight team berths will be allocated based on the regions represented in the prior year's head-to-head medal play portion of the championships, with the maximum number of teams from a given region capped at seven.

Gannon enters as the second seed from the Atlantic Region, with Charleston (WV) the number one seed. St. Thomas Aquinas is the number one seed out of the Eastern Region. This will be the Gannon men's golf team's third appearance in the NCAA Championships after qualifying in 2021 and 2022.

The Golden Knights won the Atlantic/East Regional Preview after defeating Davis & Elkins in a playoff. It's one of six tournaments won by Gannon in the first season with Director of Golf Scott Stano at the helm.

Stano inherited a team with plenty of experience and guided the group to another outstanding season. It couldn't come at a better time with the Golden Knights serving as the host and looking to repeat as the regional champion at Whispering Woods Golf Club.

STANO COMMENTS
"We are extremely excited to be hosting and playing this year's Atlantic/East Regional at our home course. It is a great honor to be the host institute. We have played an extremely difficult schedule this year and have proven to ourselves that we can compete against some of the top teams in the nation. We have won six tournaments this year which was a great success. From top to bottom in the lineup, everyone has played tremendous golf. Everyone has a strong belief in themselves as well as their teammates. We have the depth and the experience to make a solid run in the NCAA's this year. We are excited at the opportunity to compete and do our very best this week.
