Mackenzie Morgan Named PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Gannon University's Mackenzie Morgan (Sydney, Australia/Marist Catholic College North Shore) has been named the PSAC Men's Basketball West Defensive Athlete of the Week. The conference announced its weekly awards this afternoon.

Morgan helped the 22nd-ranked Golden Knights get off to a fast start in the Bowie State Tip-Off Classic. On Friday Gannon posted a  99-80 win over host Bowie State followed by a 102-92 triumph over Fayetteville State, an NCAA Tournament team last year.
A junior from Sydney, Australia, the transfer from West Texas A&M was playing for the first time as a Golden Knight. He contributed 18 points, nine rebounds and four steals in 22 minutes.

The next day the 6-foot-4 guard added 14 points, four rebounds, an assist, a block and four steals while playing 27 minutes in the victory over Fayetteville State.

Gannon returns to action on Saturday, November 22 playing at Findlay.
