LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference is pleased to announce its 2025-26 Winter Top 10 award recipients, as nominated and voted on by the league's sports information and athletic communications professionals. Gannon University men's basketball student-athlete Victor Desmond (Onalaska, Wisc./Onalaska) earned one of the prestigious honors.

The PSAC Top 10 award, initiated during the 1998-99 academic year, is presented to five male and five female student-athletes across the conference who demonstrate outstanding achievement in both the classroom and competition.

Desmond, a senior and 6-7 guard/forward from Onalaska, Wisconsin, played a key role in one of the most historic seasons in Gannon Athletics history. A member of the Golden Knights' 2025-26 NCAA Division II National Championship team, he helped lead Gannon to the first national title in program history.

He was also named the PSAC Men's Basketball Scholar-Athlete during the 2025-26 season. A business administration major, Desmond completed 128 credits while maintaining a 3.59 cumulative grade-point average. In addition, he earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® honors, recognizing his excellence both in the classroom and on the court.

On the court, Desmond reached the 1,000-point milestone on February 21, 2026, against Pitt.-Johnstown and contributed to a dominant season that saw Gannon post a 34-3 overall record and a 19-1 mark at home. The Golden Knights' 34 wins set a new program record.

Desmond appeared in 35 games with 35 starts, averaging 7.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game while leading the team with 30 blocks, showcasing his impact on both ends of the floor.

Desmond joins fellow Gannon standouts Emily Bowers (women's cross country) and Sere Orten (men's soccer) as Gannon's 2025-26 PSAC Top 10 recipients.
