THE KNIGHT CAP
- Jada Starts Strong - Jada Badayos-Chaves (Odenton, Md./Arundel High) got things off to a great start for the Golden Knights. Battling back from an early deficit, the sophomore would earn a late takedown and back points to secure a win by decision.
- Sierra's Stunning Debut: Wrestling in her first home dual meet, the freshman and Northwestern High School product Sierra Chiesa (West Springfield, Pa./Northwestern) turned in an incredibly strong showing against one of the Saints' best. Earning a quick takedown, Chiesa would follow up with a fall in the first period to secure full points.
- Home Falls: Multiple Golden Knights earned wins by fall on Thursday. In addition to Chiesa, Jaylene Martinez (Whittier, Cal./Whittier), Lili Ujfalvi (Kecskemet-heteny, Hungary/Bolyai Janos Secondary School), and Bella Phillips (Bellingham, Wash./Squalicum High School) all needed not the distance to secure the extra points.
- Team Success: Gannon lost just two matches the entire night en route to the home victory.
THE NEXT MEET
