Gannon Women's Cross Country sophomore Alexis Abbett (Sharpsburg, Pa./Aquinas Academy) has been named the PSAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week following her standout performance at the Houghton Invitational.

Abbett finished eighth overall, covering the 6K course in a personal-best time of 22:26.8, to lead the Golden Knights to a 10th-place team finish out of 17 programs.

The sophomore's performance continued her exceptional start to the 2025 campaign, marking the third time this season she has placed inside the top 10—joining a second-place effort at the Race in the Park and a third-place finish at the YSU Invitational.

This marks Abbett's first career PSAC weekly honor and the first PSAC Cross Country Athlete of the Week selection for the Gannon program this season.
