The Gannon men's water polo team completed a dominant weekend at the Erie Invitational as it logged two more lopsided wins to finish with a 4-0 record over two days at Hallman Aquatics Center.

Coach
Zarko Sadikovic's Golden Knights improved their record to 9-3 after a 20-7 win over Wheaton College (Mass.) on Sunday morning and a 23-5 victory over host Penn State Behrend in the afternoon.

On Saturday, Gannon defeated Connecticut College 21-8 in the first game and beat Washington & Jefferson 21-7.

Gannon 20, Wheaton 7: Gannon outscored Wheaton 11-0 in the first quarter on the way to a comfortable win.
Â
Alvaro Marco (Madrid, Spain/IES Ortega y Gasset), who normally plays goalie, led Gannon with four goals.
Jordan Kraus (Erie, Pa./McDowell) and
Dillon Shaw (Salt Lake City, Utah/Skyline) each had hat tricks, while
Paco Palacian (Seattle, Wash./O'Dea) and
Michael McGarry (Erie, Pa./McDowell) added two goals each.

Dominic Demeritte (Nassau, Bahamas/Blake Academy),
Ian Dovydaitis (Orlando, Fla./East River),
Mathieu Bordet (Marseille, France),
Nathaniel Castellon (Eastvale, Cal./Eleanor Roosevelt),
Ryan Davis (Tinley Park, Ill./Victor J. Andrew), and
Hewson Morphy (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) each scored once. Morphy scored his goal into an open net in the final second of the first period.

Dovydaitis led GU with four assists while Kraus, Shaw, and Castellon added two each.

Gannon 23, Penn State Behrend 5: Alexandros Kotskar (Voula, Greece/Athinaiki Agogh) and
Petar Markovic (Belgrade, Serbia) each scored four times to lead the Knights. Shaw and
Rajmund Farsang (Eger, Hungary) each had a hat trick, and Bordet scored twice.

What's ahead:
Gannon will have a month-long break before it returns to action as the host of WWPA Erie Classic from Oct. 25-27. The Golden Knights will play four matches over three days.
