LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Gannon men's water polo team rallied from a four-goal deficit to tie the game in the third period, but Wagner eventually pulled out a 16-14 win on Friday evening at the Bucknell Invitational.

Petar Markovic (Belgrade, Serbia) scored four times while
Nikiforos Liantziris (Athens, Greece) added a hat trick for the Golden Knights, whose record dipped to 5-3.

Gannon trailed 11-7 at the half, but
Alexandros Kotskar (Voula, Greece/Athinaiki Agogh) scored back-to-back goals,
Victor Volant (Fuveau, France) trimmed the lead to 11-10, and Markovic tied the game at 11-11. However, Wagner closed the period with three unanswered goals, and Gannon could not catch up in the fourth period.

Volant finished with two goals and two assists, and Kotskar had two goals and one assist.
Rajmund Farsang (Eger, Hungary),
Ben Fribourg (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore), and
Dillon Shaw (Salt Lake City, Utah/Skyline) added single goals. Farsang had two assists.

Alvaro Marco (Madrid, Spain/IES Ortega y Gasset) had a solid night in goal with 12 saves and a .429 save percentage.

What's ahead:
On Saturday, Gannon will begin play in the Erie Invitational at Cathedral Prep's Hallman Aquatics Center. The Knights will meet Connecticut College at noon and Washington & Jefferson at 3 p.m.
