GANNON SCHEDULE
GANNON ROSTER

ERIE, Pa. – The Gannon men's water polo team has a hectic schedule this weekend. The Golden Knights begin the weekend with a trip to Lewisburg, Pa. to face Wagner in the Bucknell Invitational. They then head home to compete in the Erie Invitational at Cathedral Prep's Hallman Aquatics Center on Saturday and Sunday. All told they will play five matches in three days. Mercyhurst and Penn State Behrend are hosting the Erie Invitational.

Second-year head coach Zarko Sadikovic has the Golden Knights off to a fast start at 5-2 after winning three of four matches last week in the Salem Open. They look to continue that momentum on Friday against a Wagner team that will be one of the best squads Gannon faces all year. The Division I Seahawks have a 3-4 record but are ranked fifth in the latest Men's Varsity Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Top 5.

The Wagner match gets underway at 7:20 p.m. on Friday night. Then it's back on the bus for the quick turnaround with Gannon returning to the pool at 12noon on Saturday to face Connecticut College.  Later in the afternoon at 3:00 p.m. the Golden Knights wrap up the day against Washington & Jefferson.

Gannon plays two more matches on Sunday. They face Wheaton (Mass.) at 9:00 a.m. and Penn State Behrend at 3:00 p.m.

Alexandros Kotskar (Voula, Greece/Athinaiki Agogh) was named the WWPA Offensive Player of the week after scoring 13 goals at the Salem Open. The junior comes in with 21 goals, one less than team leader Petar Markovic (Belgrade, Serbia). The sophomore from Serbia has 22 goals. Another newcomer, Nikiforos Liantziris (Athens, Greece), adds 17 goals. Alvaro Marco (Madrid, Spain/IES Ortega y Gasset) will be in goal.
