YORK, Pa. –  The Gannon University women's swimming and diving team maintained its momentum from the previous night at the 2023 PSAC Swimming Championships, qualifying 10 student-athletes for the evening session's finals, including two in "A" finals: Hannah Jacobs (Johannesburg, South Africa) in the 100 butterfly and Francesca Nemetz (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) in the 400 IM.

The women kicked off the evening session with a quality swim in the 200 free relay thanks to Nomvula Mjimba (Harare, Zimbabwe/The Wykeham Collegiate), Lily Cunningham (Lavista, Neb./Papillion-La Vista), Leilani Kunf (White Oak, Pa./McKeesport Area), and Alex Pannemann (Clinton Twp., Mich./Chippewa Valley)—taking fourth place in 1:37.76.

Nemetz posted a 4:41.36 in the "A" final of the 400 IM to claim eighth place, while Jacobs posted a 57.56 in the 100 fly to secure sixth place.
 
Three Golden Knights also swam the 100 fly at the evening session—in the "C" final—with Zoey Beck (Grove City, Pa.) winning the heat (17^th place, 58.66) followed by Pannemann (20^th, 59.40), and Irati Arzalluz (Lasarte-Oria, Spain/Santo Tomas Lizeoa) (22^nd, 59.90.)
 
Another trio of Gannon women competed in the "B" final of the 200 freestyle: Isabella Dietz (Pittsburgh, Pa.) was second in the race with a time of 1:55.43 to earn 10^th place overall and was quickly followed to the wall by Madalyn Myers (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) (11^th, 1:55.55) and Chenay Date Line (Johannesburg, South Africa/Crawford College Sandton) (12^th, 1:56.22.)
 
The Gannon women maintain hold of fourth place in the team standings with 380 points, right on the heels of third-place Bloomsburg (408) and second-place IUP (461.)
