YORK, Pa. – Gannon wrapped up the 2026 PSAC Championship meet in successful fashion on Saturday in York, PA. The Golden Knights finished seventh in a 12 team field and had several successful individual performances to close the four day meet.

THE KNIGHT CAP
• Swimming Free: The women were strong in the 100 freestyle. Mariia Melnyk (Kyiv, Ukraine/Education Center Optima) secured fifth, going 51 seconds flat. Meanwhile, Amari Ash (Tacarigua, Trinidad and Tobago/Northgate College, Tacarigua) was 21st in the C final in her first PSAC Championship meet. 
• Other Results: Juliana Romero (Bogotá, Columbia/Colegio pureza de Maria) swam a strong time to finish fifth in the 200 back ... Elisa Moliner (Zaragoza, Spain/IES Francisco de Goya) recorded a top ten finish in the 1650 freestyle ... Maria Valcheva (Sofia, Bulgaria/Sports School Vasil Levski) (9th) was one of five Golden Knight swimmers that were in the top 25 of the 200 breaststroke.
• Team Success:  The women ended seventh but were just one spot off of sixth and finished the meet on a strong note. 

UP NEXT
The Golden Knights will await to see if any competitors qualify for NCAA National Championships in Evansville, IN in March. The results are expected to be out on Wednesday.
