Kotskar Named to WWPA Championships All-Tournament Team

Sophomore earns spot on second team

VISTA, Calif. -- Gannon University's Alexandros Kotskar (Voula, Greece/Athinaiki Agogh) has been named to the WWPA Championships All-Tournament Team. Kotskar earned a spot on the second team after Gannon finished in fifth place while competing in the WWPA Championships for the first time. The season ended with a 12-10 record under first-year head coach Zarko Sadikovic.

A native of Voula, Greece, Kotskar set the Gannon season record for goals during the course of the tournament. He finished with 18 goals and seven assists to end the season with a school-record 99 goals along with 30 assists for 129 points.

Kotskar opened the tournament with six goals and an assist in a 15-12 loss to Concordia (Calif.). That was followed by an eight-goal, two-assist effort to lead Gannon to a 16-14 win over Fresno Pacific. The season concluded against a familiar foe, with Gannon defeating Mercyhurst 22-17. Kotskar contributed four goals and four assists in the victory.
