ERIE, Pa. – The Gannon women's golf team rallied from six strokes down to claim a 12-shot victory on Monday in GU's Michael Corbett Fall Classic at Whispering Woods Golf Club.

Coach Scott Stano's team had four of the top seven individual finishers as the Golden Knights turned in a sparkling team score of 301 despite windy, rainy, cold conditions on the course. They finished with a two-day, 36-hole score of 614 while second-place Ohio Dominican shot 319 on the final day to finish with a two-day total of 626.

On Friday and Saturday, Gannon won Mercyhurst's Evann Parker Memorial tournament at Lake View Country Club.

Four Gannon players shot rounds of 77 or better on Monday. Senior Sarah White (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) led the way by finishing as the tournament runner-up. She tied Ohio Dominican's Abbey Dillon for the top spot through the regulation 36 holes. However, Dillon emerged with the individual title by winning a one-hole playoff.

Junior Ditte Petersen (Dianalund, Denmark/Sorø Akademi Skole) shot Gannon's low round of 74 on Monday and finished in third place with 151 after a first-round 77.

Gannon freshman Cloe Mateo (Sabadell, Spain/Montcau la Mola) carded a 75 in the final round and placed fifth with 154. Junior Andrea Martinez (Tarragona, Spain/Col·legi Vedruna Sagrat Cor) finished seventh after shooting 77 on Monday to close with a seventh-place total of 159. Martinez won the individual title at the Evann Parker Memorial on Saturday.
