Gannon Ranked Third in First Set of NCAA Atlantic Region Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA released the first set of regional rankings in Division II baseball, with Gannon among the top teams in the Atlantic Region. The Golden Knights are ranked third in the initial rankings.
 
Gannon is behind a pair of PSAC schools. In fact, the top eight teams in the poll are from the PSAC, and eight of nine overall. West Chester leads the way, showing an overall record of 24-9. Slippery Rock is next at 27-9, with the Golden Knights voted third. Head coach DJ Cannon's team has a 22-13 record, although Tuesday's loss at Walsh is not included in the poll.
 
Bloomsburg (17-15) holds down the fourth position, with Cal (15-8) in fifth place.
 
Gannon returns to action on Friday, April 29 playing a doubleheader against Indiana(Pa.) at UPMC Park. The next day the two teams play two more games at IUP.
