CLEVELAND, Ohio – Gannon University women's swimming and diving wrapped up its three days at the 2022 Magnus Cup with six finalists swimming in the evening session at Cleveland State University on Saturday night.

Chenay Date Line (Johannesburg, South Africa/Crawford College Sandton), who qualified for a final on each day of the meet, finished in 39
th place in the 200 backstroke with her prelim time of 2:11.63 the quickest of her two swims on day three.

In the 100 freestyle "D" final,
Nomvula Mjimba (Harare, Zimbabwe/The Wykeham Collegiate) also finished 39
th with her 53.80 prelim time her lowest.

Isabella Dietz (Pittsburgh, Pa.) finished 30
th in the 200 breaststroke "C" final (2:30.64 finals time, 2:29.06 prelims) while Gannon sent two into the 200 butterfly finals:
Francesca Nemetz (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) with a 29
th place finish (2:13.97 "C" final, 2:12.11 prelims) and freshman
Hannah Jacobs (Johannesburg, South Africa) (36
th place, 2:17.75 in "D" final, 2:14.52 in prelims.)

Sterre van de Goor (Oss, Netherlands/Sint-Joriscollege) and
Madalyn Myers (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) also braved the always-grueling 1650 freestyle, with van de Goor swimming in the evening session and finishing 11
th with a 17:49.80. Myers was right behind in 12
th place with a 17:52.80.

Gannon concluded the meet with a 20
th-place mark in the 400 freestyle relay (3:34.99) courtesy of
Irati Arzalluz (Lasarte-Oria, Spain/Santo Tomas Lizeoa), Mjimba, Date Line, and Dietz.
