CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Gannon University women's swimming and diving team concluded day two of the 2022 Magnus Cup after 11 competitors swam in the evening session finals.

Five of those swimmers were in the 400 individual medley, including
Madalyn Myers (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) and
Francesca Nemetz (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) in the "C" final. Myers finished 24
th with a time of 4:42.16 while Nemetz clocked a 4:43.40 for 27
th place.

In the "D" final of the 400 IM,
Sterre van de Goor (Oss, Netherlands/Sint-Joriscollege) ended up 32
nd place with a time of 4:44.34,
Hailey Yurkovich (Elizabeth, Pa.) came home in 34
th (4:49.22), and
Claire Rogillio (Austin, Texas/Anderson) finished 38
th in 5:15.13

A trio of Golden Knights competed in the 200 free finals, with
Chenay Date Line (Johannesburg, South Africa/Crawford College Sandton) in the "C" final finishing in 25
th (1:54.90).
Irati Arzalluz (Lasarte-Oria, Spain/Santo Tomas Lizeoa) (36
th place, 1:57.08) and Nemetz (1:58.55, 38

The young contingent of Gannon freshman also logged quality swims, with
Hannah Jacobs (Johannesburg, South Africa) finishing 17
th in the 100 butterfly (time of 57.16) after the "B" final,
Isabella Dietz (Pittsburgh, Pa.) earning 30
th place in the 100 breaststroke "C" final (1:08.59), and
Zoey Beck (Grove City, Pa.) in 37
th in the 100 backstroke "D" final (59.57.)

In the night's relays, the top quartets were Myers, van de Goor, Arzalluz, and Date Line finishing 16
th place in the 800 freestyle in 7:50.22 while Beck, Dietz, Jacobs, and
Nomvula Mjimba (Harare, Zimbabwe/The Wykeham Collegiate) were 19
th in the 200 medley in 1:48.03

Competition wraps up on Saturday, Nov. 18 with the third and final day of the 2022 Magnus Cup. Prelims begin at 9:00 a.m., with finals scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
