ERIE, Pa. – The Gannon women's soccer team battled to a scoreless draw against Mercyhurst on Thursday night. 
 
 In the 7^th-minute, Taylor Lewis (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek) looked to put the Golden Knights on the board with a shot at the top of the box, but was saved by freshman keeper Maddie Elbro to prevent early scoring.  The two defenses remained locked in as neither team was able to take hold of a lead for a scoreless half.
 
GU spent most of the second half in the Lakers side of the field to put pressure on Mercyhurst but could not get a shot to find the back of the net to end in a draw.  
 
Goalkeepers Kennedy Solymosi (Eastlake, Ohio/Lake Catholic) and Jordan August (Morgantown, W. Va./Morgantown) each registered time between the post for Gannon helping keep Mercyhurst scoreless.

Gannon is back in action on Saturday, April 24, as they wrap up the spring season with a match at Clarion at 1 p.m.
