Women’s Soccer Battles Roberts Wesleyan to Scoreless Draw

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Gannon women's soccer team controlled much of the offensive action but settled for a 0-0 draw at Roberts Wesleyan on Wednesday afternoon in its first non-conference matchup of the season.

The Golden Knights (4-2-2) held a 20-8 advantage in shots and placed seven attempts on goal. Gannon came close on multiple occasions, including a pair of first-half shots that struck the woodwork, but Roberts Wesleyan goalkeeper Rebecca Hoffman turned aside all seven shots on goal. Alwa Wennstroem (Öjebyn, Sweden) made three saves on the other end to record her second shutout of the season.
