ERIE, Pa. — A condensed 2021 schedule will see the Gannon competitive cheer and dance teams hit the mat for a sprint of a season in late March before capping the year with a trip to nationals.
 
The Golden Knights, who will showcase a dance team, as well as game day and coed cheer teams this season, will have one in-person event, as well as virtually host the annual Road to Daytona Showcase.

Gannon will head to Michigan for the Alma Showcase on March 21 with its full complement of teams to open the season. That same day will see the release of the scores for dance's entry to the NDA Virtual March Championship.
 
The following week, Gannon will host the Road to Daytona Showcase, this year in a virtual format. Performances from all teams will be shown on the broadcast, followed by a live showcase performance by the Golden Knights.
 
The home meet will continue to be the annual Make-A-Wish meet for Gannon as well, with details on how to get involved coming in March.
 
The 2021 NCA & NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championship is scheduled for April 8-10 in Daytona Beach, Florida. All Gannon teams have locked up a bid to nationals for the eighth consecutive year.
 
Currently, no spectators are allowed in attendance at sporting events hosted on the Gannon campus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Access to the facility is limited to participating teams and those workers whose duties are essential to the contest.
