THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Golden Knights head into the final weekend of the regular season with a 13-12 (12-9 PSAC) record. In its most recent contest, Gannon fell short against Slippery Rock, 78-68, at Hammermill Center last week. Frank Webb Jr. (Baltimore, Md./Our Lady of Mount Carmel) paced the Knights posting his second double-double of the season with a game-high 23 points and career-best 13 rebounds against The Rock.
Gannon has emerged as one of the best defensive teams in the PSAC this season holding its opponents to 67.5 points per game, which ranks third in the PSAC and 25th in NCAA Division II. The Knights have limited their opponents to 60 points or less in eight games this season.
DeAnte Cisero (Chicago, Ill./Montgomery County (Ky.)) leads Gannon on both ends of the floor with a team-high 14.0 points and a team-best 5.7 rebounds per game. He has hit double figures in scoring in his last four games and 18 total times this season. Cisero registered his fourth 20-point game of the season last week against Slippery Rock with 21 points on 8-of-18 shooting from the field.

HEADING DOWN THE STRETCH

Gannon is 4-3 in the month of February as it heads down the stretch of final regular season games. The Knights are averaging 70.4 points per game in comparison to their opponents' 64.4. Matt Johnson (Gary, Ind./Adlai E. Stevenson) leads Gannon netting a team-high 14.7 points per game, while Frank Webb Jr. (Baltimore, Md./Our Lady of Mount Carmel) has hauled in 39 total rebounds, including 26 defensive over the last seven games.

FACING CALIFORNIA

These two teams met earlier this season at Hammermill Center on Jan. 22. California took its first lead of the game with 37 seconds left to play and went on to slip by Gannon, 68-64. Victor Olawoye (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont Memorial) paced the Knights with a career-high 24 points and career-best eight rebounds.
Gannon has won six of the last eight meetings against California. The contest will mark the 36th all-time meeting in a series that dates back to 1949-50. Gannon is 5-9 against California in road contests, but leads the all-time series, 20-15.

SCOUTING THE VULCANS

California enters the weekend with an 18-9 (14-7 PSAC) overall record and most recently dropped a 61-56 decision at Mercyhurst on Wednesday night.
The Vulcans are 9-2 in home games this season.
California is positioned fifth in the PSAC in scoring averaging 81.1 points per game.
Brent Pegram leads the Vulcans and is averaging 20.4 points per game, which slots him third in the PSAC. Pegram has reached double figures in socring in all 27 games this season for California.
