HOW IT HAPPENED
Bucknell
  • The Bison outscored Gannon 6-1 in the first quarter as they poured in the goals. Ally Furano opened the game with the first goal in 45 seconds. Kali Hyham tallied one at the 5:30 mark before Furano got her second of the game two minutes later. Squeglia got on the board first for the Knights. She was assisted by Ruh for Gannon's only goal of the quarter. Hyham scored three straight to close the first for Bucknell.
  • Furano and Hyham kept the momentum going in the second scoring Bucknell's first two goals. Kelly Fehr (Erie, Pa./Villia Maria) added a goal for Gannon in the mix. Squeglia and Ruh each tallied a goal for Gannon before the half ended, but Furano and two other Bucknell players added four more goals to give the Bison a 12-4 edge at the break.
  • The Knights stepped up the defense in the second half only allowing two goals. On the flip side, Gannon only managed two goals in the final 16 minutes. Julia Kreidinger (Erie, Pa./Villia Maria) scored for Gannon in the third, while Sydney Fountain (Okemos, Mich./Okemos) found the back of the net in the fourth. Bucknell went on to win 14-6.

Siena

Vargas tallied an assist on Siena's next goal scored by Danni Croteau, but they were quickly met with two straight goals from Squeglia for the Knights. Vargas capped the first with a goal in the final 10 seconds taking a 4-3 edge over the Knights into the second.
  • Ruh scored at the 4:35 mark to break a Gannon scoreless stretch. Kreidinger assisted on the goal. The duo struck again 20 seconds later. This time Kreidinger found the back of the net on an assist by Ruh. Bianca Prinsloo sparked a 3-0 run for Sienna with two of the three goals.
