The Short Story: The Lady Knights fell 4-2 in their first loss of the season to conference opponent Seton Hill Saturday afternoon. The Griffins scored four unanswered goals in the first 49 minutes before the Knights managed a goal.
Maddie North (Leysdown-on-Sea, England/The Westlands School) and
Emily Cekella (Harmony, Pa./Seneca Valley) found the back of the net for Gannon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Italia Biondi scored back-to-back goals for Seton Hill to put them up 2-0. The first goal came in the 17th minute on an assist from Julia Scamardi. She scored less than two minutes later unassisted.
- Katie Kimmich was the next Griffen to score. In the 32nd minute, Kimmich scored on an assist by Brady Tramuta. Kimmich would score again just after the halftime break in the 49th minute to put Seton Hill up 4-0.
- North would end the chance of a shutout in the 73rd minute putting Gannon on the board with a goal.
- Cekella scored a few minutes later to narrow Seton Hill's lead 4-2.
- In the final 10 minutes, Taylor Huffman (Rome, Ohio/Grand Valley), Brigid Casey (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley), and Vanessa Coccurello (Hamilton, Ontario/St. Jean de Brebeuf) would fire off three attempts for last minute goals, but all would be saved by Elyza Pilatowski in goal for Seton Hill.
- The Griffins collected their first win on the season with a final score of 4-2.

- Kayla Bevacqua (Welland, Ontario/Notre Dame) had four shots in the match to lead Gannon, while Seton Hills Biondi led the match with five shots.
- Cekella and Coccurello added two shots in the match with one each on goal.
- Five other Knights had shots in the match.
- Kennedy Solymosi (Eastlake, Ohio/Lake Catholic) played all 90 minute in the net for Gannon. She made four saves.
- Pilatowski ended the match with five saves for the Griffins.
- The Knights fired off eight more shots (15-7) than their opponent, but Seton Hill managed four shots, all on goal, before the break.
