ERIE, Pa. – Gannon baseball head coach
Greg Coleman announced this morning that the Golden Knights' home opener against Ashland has been moved to Friday, March 15 at 1:00 PM from McConnell Family Stadium.
The game, originally set for Sunday afternoon, was moved due to potentially freezing weather slated to move into the region this weekend. The nonconference clash will be a nine inning contest and Gannon's first action since its spring break trip to Florida last week in the Russ-Matt Invitational.
Gannon's home opener will begin a three-game series with Ashland, and the team's will cross state lines to Ohio for a scheduled doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Knights are 10-3 this season, while Ashland enters the week with a 9-3 slate.
