GANNON STORYLINES
  • Sean Colosimo (Wexford, Pa./Pine-Richland) played in his first two games of the season last week, capping it with 29 minutes Saturday against IUP. The sophomore responded with six points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals.
  • Victor Olawoye (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont Memorial) had his fourth consecutive double-digit scoring game Saturday, netting a team-high 16 points on 4-of-7 shooting, all from beyond the arc. It was the fifth time this season the freshman has hit at least four 3-pointers.
  • Three games into the second half of the PSAC West slate, two of Gannon's season series have ended in a split. Cal won the first meeting this season.

SCOUTING THE VULCANS
  • The Vulcans begin a stretch run of six games in three weeks to close the regular season. They're holding on to the final playoff spot in the West, but are just a half-game up on seventh-place Seton Hill.
  • Cal has maintained a small rotation throughout this season. The Vulcans only dressed eight players for their trip to the Hammermill Center last month. Only eight players have appeared in at least 10 of the team's 21 games.
  • Five different Cal players average double figures in scoring, and four of those are freshmen or sophomores.
  • Brent Pegram leads the team and is seventh in the PSAC with 18.7 points per game. The sophomore is also ranked ninth in the country with 2.67 steals per game, and is top-nine in the PSAC in both free throws and free throw attempts.
  • Pegram, Collin MacAdams and Zyan Collins are all top 20 in Division II in minutes per game, with all three averaging at least 36.9. Donte' Williams also averages 30.3, while Jermaine Hall Jr. averaged 32.8 while playing in the first 12 games of the season.

UP NEXT
  • The Golden Knights return to the Hammermill Center to close out a string of four out of five games at home, facing Edinboro Saturday afternoon in Gannon's annual Hall of Fame games.
