SCOUTING GANNON

In its most recent contest, Gannon traveled to Indiana in exhibition play on Oct. 29. The Knights pulled within eight at halftime, but could not hold off the Hoosiers in the second half and went on to drop the contest, 84-54. Frank Webb Jr. (Baltimore, Md., Our Lady of Mount Carmel) was the only Knight to reach double digits in scoring with a team-high 13 points. He also added four rebounds and three assists. DeAnte Cisero (Chicago, Ill./Montgomery County (Ky.)) shot 4-of-8 from the field and netted nine points to round out the top performers.
The Golden Knights were picked sixth in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Preseason Poll. The defending PSAC West Champion Indiana (Pa.) was picked first in the poll and earned seven first place votes. Slippery Rock was tabbed second, while Pitt-Johnstown rounded out the top three and also received two first place votes.
Gannon returns 10 players this season, including eight starters. The lineup features four players that have started at least 13 games in 2018-19. Matt Johnson (Chicago, Ill./Adlai E. Stevenson) and DeAnte Cisero (Chicago, Ill./Montgomery County (Ky.)) are the only seniors on the roster.
The Knights welcome six new faces to the roster this season, including four freshman: Amani Walker (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore Polytechnic Institute), Chris Clancy (Staten Island, N.Y./St. Peter's Boys), Ryan Rachic (Prince Frederick, Md./Calvert) and Chris Roberts (Chicago, Ill./Morgan Park).

IN SEASON OPENERS

Gannon has opened the season on the road for the last six seasons.
The Knights picked up a season opening win over Wheeling Jesuit last season, 90-74, which snapped a four-game losing streak in season openers.
Gannon is 56-19 all-time in season openers, including a 7-12 mark on the road. The Knights have never opened a season against Bowie State.

FACING THE BULLDOGS

Gannon has dropped its last two meeting meetings against Bowie State and most recently fell the Bulldogs last season, 56-47.
Gannon leads the all-time series, 4-3.

SCOUTING BOWIE STATE

Bowie State enters the weekend with a 1-2 overall record and has dropped its last two contests.
In their most recent game, Bowie State fell to Shippensburg, 81-68, on the road. Saiquan Jamison paced the Bulldogs recording his second double-double of the season with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Bowie State had three players reach double figures in scoring.
The Bulldogs are led by 11th year head coach Darrell Brooks. He has compiled a 113-58 (70-31 CIAA) overall record.

Gannon will make its home debut hosting West Chester (2-0, 0-0 PSAC) on Nov. 23 at Hammermill Center. Tip-off is set for 3:00 p.m.
