HOW IT HAPPENED
- In Gannon's first game vs. Mercyhurst, the first quarter was even between the teams as they both scored two goals each. The Knights came alive in the second quarter scoring six goals. Jack Donnelly (Temecula, Calif./Chaparral) led Gannon with three goals in the second quarter. He sparked a five goal run starting at the 3:22 mark. Drago Marjanovic (Belgrade, Serbia/North Allegheny (Pa.)) and Thomas Squeglia (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) each tallied a single goal in the run. The Knights led 8-6 at halftime.
- Gannon held on to a three point lead going into the final eight minutes of regular. The Lakers rallied and scored four goals and held Gannon to just one in the fourth to tie the game and force the Knights first overtime game of the year. Both teams scored two goals in the first overtime period. Donnelly scored the game winner at the 1:57 mark in double overtime. Ethan Hamp (Chicago, Ill./Von Steuben) scored a second goal giving Gannon a two goal win.

- In game two, the Knights sailed to their largest win of the weekend over McKendree. They beat the Bearcats 21-18. The first quarter was evenly matched 4-4, but Gannon erupted in the second quarter for seven goals. Anthony Squeglia (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) and Marjanovic scored four straight for the Knights leading them to a two point lead at the half.
- Gannon added another six goals in the third quarter. A. Squeglia tallied another two, while four other Knights added one each. McKendree scored six of their own in the fourth quarter, but Gannon's four goals held the lead for a 21-18 win.

- In the final game of the weekend, the Knights took a 14-13 overtime win vs. Salem. Gannon poured in five goals in the first quarter. Riley Hinkley (Meshoppen, Pa./Princeton) and Robert Bolmanski (Erie, Pa./McDowell) carried the weight. Hinkley scored three goals in the first eight minutes, while Bolmanski added two.
- Salem took a 7-5 lead in the second quarter after scoring three goals and holding the Knights scoreless.
- The Knights came out of the halftime break ready to go scoring six goals to regain the lead. Hinkley opened and closed the quarter with goals at the six minute mark and with 17 seconds left. Salem managed to tie the game with three goals in the fourth quarter to force Gannon's second overtime game of the weekend. Marjanovic scored the game winner with 33 seconds left in the second overtime period.

GAME NOTES
- Hollo, Marjanovic, A. Squeglia, and Donnelly were named to the all-tournament team.
- Hollo took home Rookie and Goalie of the tournament honors, while head coach Shane Unger earned coach of the tournament.
- Gannon went 3-0 on the weekend to be crowned champions. Mercyhurst, Salem, and McKendree all went 1-2 on the weekend. After using a three-way tiebreaker determined by goal differential and a two-way tiebreaker based on head-to-head matchup, Salem finished second, Mercyhurst third, and McKendree fourth.
- Marjanovic finished the weekend with 10 goals and 10 assists. He also tallied five steals. A. Squeglia and Hinkley each added nine goals, while T. Squeglia added six with eight assists.
- Hollo played a solid weekend in net making 43 saves. He also recorded eight steals and made four assists.
