Event: 2018 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women's Swimming Championships
Location: Graham Aquatic Center – York, Pa.
Competing Teams: Bloomsburg, Clarion, California (Pa.), East Stroudsburg, Edinboro, Indiana (Pa.), Gannon, Kutztown, Lock Haven, Shippensburg, Millersville and West Chester
Result: Gannon sits fifth out of 12 teams
The Short Story: Senior Meghan Terwilliger (Grove City, Pa./Grove City Area) clocked the best time of her career in the 200-yard butterfly (2:07.91) to place fourth Friday night at the PSAC Championships in York, Pa. The Lady Knights are in fifth place after three days of action at the conference meet.

GANNON'S INDIVIDUAL PODIUM FINISHES

Terwilliger – 200-Yard Butterfly – 2:07.91 (4th Place) … Terwilliger swam a 2:08.21 in the prelims before clocking the best time of her four-year career in the finals.
Samantha Favret (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) – 100-Yard Backstroke – 57.87 (7th Place) … Favret clocked her best time of the season (57.41) in the 100-yard backstroke prelims to reach the finals Friday night … she swam a time of 57.87 in the finals to place seventh.
800-Yard Freestyle Relay – 7:46.17 (4th Place) … Silvija Taraska (Wickliffe, Ohio/Lake Catholic), Jillian Pritchard (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin), Courteney Hubert (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) and Celia Kottakis (Clarence, N.Y./Clarence) swam their best time of the season in the 800-yard freestyle relay, good for fourth place.

ADDITIONAL GANNON RESULTS

Pritchard placed 15th in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:13.63. Her prelims time of 5:11.24 is a career-best.
Brynn Driscoll (Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Bradley) swam a time of 1:07.94 to place 16th in the 100-yard breaststroke finals. She swam a personal-best time of 1:06.50 in the prelims Friday morning.

UP NEXT

The PSAC Championships conclude Saturday, February 24 with the final day of action.
Prelims begin at 10 a.m. with the finals scheduled for 5 p.m.
