  • First Meeting: 1998-99
  • Last Meeting: 2016-17 – Mansfield 57, Gannon 50 | Box Score

Chelsea Rourke (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) led the Gannon with a game-high 15 points and six rebounds.

GANNON STORYLINES/NOTES:
  • Gannon aims to get back on track with its roadtrip this weekend following a 58-52 loss to Daemen College on Wednesday night at the Hammermill Center. The back-and-forth affair saw six ties and 10 lead changes.
  • The Lady Knights enter the weekend averaging 65.3 points/game while allowing 65.0 points/game.
  • Nicole LaCava (Hermitage, Pa./Hickory) has strung together her best two statistical games of the season recently. She has combined for 31 points on 11-of-20 (55%) from the floor with 15 rebounds over the last two contests.
  • Rourke continues to pace the Lady Knights in scoring with 84 total points. Averaging 12.0 points/game, Rourke has scored in double figures five of seven games this season.
  • Tori Obenrader (Fryburg, Pa./North Clarion) has emerged as a solid presence off the bench for the Lady Knights. While the starting rotation and bench rotation can always change, Obenrader picked up her second career double-double (11 pts, 10 reb) off the bench last Wednesday against the Wildcats.
  • Sydney Mitchell (Halethorpe, Md./Seton Keough) recorded season-highs in minutes (31) and assists (5). She is third on the team in scoring with 8.7 PPG.
  • Boston McKinney (Bolivar, Ohio/Tuscarawas Valley) paces the Lady Knights with 24 assists. McKinney, the reigning PSAC West Freshman of the Week, has converted a three-pointer in all but one game this season.
  • Elise Torrence (Bexley, Ohio/Bexley) provided six points, two rebounds and one assist in 15 minutes off the bench last Wednesday night against Daemen College and has potential to work her way into an experienced front court rotation that includes seniors LaCava and Lauren Tewes (Waterford, Mich./Waterford Kettering).
  • Head coach Jim Brunelli enters the weekend just five wins shy of 100 as the head coach of the Lady Knights.
  • The Lady Knights are hoping to clean up their turnovers and unforced errors heading into conference play. Gannon is averaging 22.0 turnovers per game and has a -5.9 turnover margin.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG:
  • The Huskies enter the weekend with a 4-2 overall record following a 77-62 home triumph against Chestnut Hill College last Tuesday. A big third quarter and four players in double figures helped propel the Huskies to victory.
  • Alyssa Mack is the leading scorer for Bloomsburg, averaging 14.5 PPG, while Taylor Montana is averaging 12.3 points per contest.
  • Head coach Alison Tagliaferri is in her third season at the helm of the Bloomsburg women's program after spending four seasons as the head women's basketball coach at Mansfield.
  • Bloomsburg has played a challenging schedule to start the 2018-19 campaign. The Huskies loses have come against fifth-ranked Indiana (Pa.) (73-46) and Holy Family (68-62, OT).

SCOUTING MANSFIELD:
  • Mansfield squares off with Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday afternoon before continuing its four-game homestand by hosting Gannon on Sunday.
  • The Mounties enter the weekend with a 0-2 overall mark following a 90-71 loss to Salem last Wednesday.
  • Kira Merritt (14), McKenzie Hatch (11), and Ellie Thompson (14) each reached double digits for Mansfield against Salem.
  • While early, the Mounties have been outscored by an average of nearly 20 points this season.
  • Head coach Michael Whitling enters his third season at the helm of the Mansfield women's basketball program.

UP NEXT:
  • Following its back-to-back this weekend, Gannon will have a five-day layoff before returning to action on Saturday, December 8 against Lock Haven from the Hammermill Center at 1:00 p.m.
