SERIES INFORMATION
  • All-time Series: Gannon leads 4-2 (3-1 at home)
  • Last Meeting: Bowie State won 63-59 (OT) in 2017-18.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
  • After suffering five consecutive losses to open the season, Bowie State finds itself on a winning streak after this past weekend.
  • The Bulldogs have outscored their last two opponents by an average of 12.0 points in the second half. A 10-1 run midway through the second half proved to be the different Sunday against Augusta, while a 13-3 burst opened up a double-digit lead Friday against Newberry.
  • Nine different players have started a game for Bowie state in their first seven games. Only junior forward Saiquon Jamison has started all seven for the Bulldogs.
  • Six of BSU's top nine scorers from a year ago are back this season.
  • Juwun Smith and David Belle are both on a hot streak to lead the Bulldogs on their current winning streak, combining to shoot 28-of-46 (60.9 percent) from the field and put up a combined 37.0 points per game.
  • Bowie State has gotten consistently better on defense as the 2018-19 season moves along. After allowing their first two opponents of the season to shoot 52 percent or better from the field in shootout losses, that number has slimmed down to 35.7 and 33.9 percent in the last two games.
  • The Bulldogs were picked fourth overall and third in the Northern Division in the CIAA preseason poll. Jamison was named preseason all-conference.
