The Short Story: The Gannon women's swimming and diving team won gold in four events, but the Lady Knights were defeated by the Grove City College Wolverines in non-conference action Saturday afternoon, 171-121. Freshman Silvija Taraska (Wickliffe, Ohio/Lake Catholic) was a three-event winner for the Lady Knights.

The Lady Knights clocked 11 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)-qualifying times.
Taraska has won the 50-Yard Freestyle five times this season, while she has won the 100-Yard Freestyle four times.
Samantha Favret (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) has placed first in the 100-Yard Backstroke twice this year.
