The Short Story: Freshman Silvija Taraska (Wickliffe, Ohio/Lake Catholic) continued her impressive rookie campaign by capturing three events in the first action of 2018, but the Gannon women's swimming and diving team fell short to Shippensburg Thursday evening, 111.5-100.5.

EVENT NOTES

The Lady Knights captured five events Thursday night.
In addition to Taraska being a three-event winner, freshman Celia Kottakis (Clarence, N.Y./Clarence) was a two-event winner and senior Samantha Favret (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) swam on both of Gannon's winning relay teams.
Kottakis' win in the 100-Yard Freestyle is her third victory in the event this season.
Lauren Clifford (Hamburg, N.Y./Frontier Central)'s win in the 1-Meter Dive is her third victory of the season.
Gannon recorded nine Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)-qualifying times.
