The Short Story: The Gannon Men's Water Polo team stifled Mt. San Antonio on Saturday (Sept. 30) morning at the Carneval Athletic Pavilion pool. Nick Williams (Bainbridge Island, Wash./Bainbridge Island) and Ethan Hamp (Chicago, Ill./Von Steuben) each led Gannon with four goals apiece.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Nick Williams (Bainbridge Island, Wash./Bainbridge Island) led off the match with his 101^st goal of his career. Gannon led 1-0.
Gannon and Mt. SAC each tallied two goals apiece in the first eight minutes of play.
Gilberto Millan (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico/Colegio San Jose) put the Golden Knights up 3-2 to start the second quarter. Nick Williams (Bainbridge Island, Wash./Bainbridge Island) made it back-to-back Gannon goals for a 4-2 lead.
Gannon ended the quarter with a 9-3 lead.
Ethan Hamp (Chicago, Ill./Von Steuben) got the scoring started in the second half with a liner at the 7:40 mark.
The Golden Knights went on a 4-0 run that included goals from Williams, Tony Squeglia (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) and Evan Wujcik (Erie, Pa./McDowell).
Gannon and Mt. San Antonio each tallied two goals apiece in the fourth quarter.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Penn State Behrend notched the first two goals of the match before Zarko Sadikovic (Nis, Serbia/GTS Neimar) got the Golden Knights on the board at the 2:37 mark of the first quarter.
The Lions led 2-1 after the first quarter.
The Golden Knights exploded in the second period with eight goals. The outburst began with a Z. Sadikovic goal at the 7:33 mark of the quarter.
Nick Williams (Bainbridge Island, Wash./Bainbridge Island) produced three of the eight goals in the second quarter and helped Gannon to a 9-4 halftime lead.
Gannon outscored the Lions 5-1 in the third quarter and took a 14-5 lead the final quarter.
Jack Donnelly (Temecula, Calif./Chaparral) scored the only goal of the final period for Gannon.
