The Short Story: The Gannon Men's Water Polo team defeated Penn State Behrend, 15-11, to close out the regular season riding a 13-match win-streak.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Jack Donnelly (Temecula, Calif./Chaparral) and Zarko Sadikovic (Nis, Serbia/GTS Neimar) made back-to-back goals to start the match to give the Golden Knights an early 2-0 lead.
Thomas Squeglia (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) added a pair of goals with time running out in the first quarter and Gannon led 5-1 at the first break.
Ethan Hamp (Chicago, Ill./Von Steuben) tallied the first of his three goals to open up the second quarter.
Gannon took a 9-6 lead to halftime.
The Golden Knights continued their offensive outburst in the third quarter, outscoring PSB 5-1 in the quarter. Tim Baer (San Diego, Calif./Classical Academy) had a pair of goals to push Gannon out to a 14-7 lead.
The Lions took the fourth quarter, 4-1, but fell short in their comeback. Gannon took the match, 15-11.

Gannon heads to postseason play on Nov. 4-5 with the Mid-Atlantic Western Region Championships.
The Golden Knights will receive the top seed in the tournament after going 7-0 in MAWPC play this season.
The final seeding for the tournament will be determined after the conclusion of all conference action on Saturday, Oct. 28.
