  • The Short Story: The Gannon Men's Water Polo team wrapped a up a perfect 7-0 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference with a 17-5 victory over Washington & Jefferson on Sunday, Oct. 22.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Gannon blitzed W&J in the first quarter, leading 8-1 after eight minutes.
  • Leading the way were Jack Donnelly (Temecula, Calif./Chaparral) and Zarko Sadikovic (Nis, Serbia/GTS Neimar) who tallied a pair of goals.
  • Gannon added a pair of second-quarter goals and led 10-1 at halftime.
  • Mason Baez (Moreno Valley, Calif./Martin Luther King Jr.) led off the second half with a goal and propelled Gannon to a 14-3 lead after three quarters.
  • Lucas Petzold (Hudsonville, Mich./Hudsonville), Nick Williams (Bainbridge Island, Wash./Bainbridge Island) and Kaden Conley (Fenton, Mo./Christian Brothers College) added goals in the final period.  
     
MATCH NOTES
  • Gannon connected on 17-of-30 from the field, 3-of-5 on powerplays.
  • Washington & Jefferson shot 5-of-31 overall and 1-of-3 on powerplays.
  • Ethan Hamp (Chicago, Ill./Von Steuben) led Gannon with three goals.
