  • Series Notes: Gannon has won nine consecutive games against Clarion and leads the all-time series 32-12. The Golden Knights have won 12 straight home contests against the Golden Eagles. Clarion is 3-21 all-time at the Hammermill Center. Its last win at the 'Mill came during the 1981-82 season.

  • Gannon cut a 19-point second-half deficit to six points, but was unable to complete the comeback in a 73-66 loss against Alderson Broaddus Saturday during the second night of the 31st Annual Gary Miller Classic. The Knights suffered consecutive home losses for only the 11th time since 1998-99.

GANNON STORYLINES
  • Gannon returns to PSAC action Wednesday night against Clarion. The Golden Knights are 2-0 in conference play, but 0-4 against non-conference opponents.
  • Head coach John T. Reilly's club is in the midst of a season-long seven-game homestand. The Golden Knights won't hit the road again until a December 20 contest at Cheyney, a span of 27 days.
  • Gannon rides a two-game home losing streak into Wednesday's game. The Golden Knights suffered consecutive home losses last weekend for only the 11th time since the 1998-99 campaign. The program is 39-11 in home games following a home loss during the last 15 seasons. Gannon hasn't lost three consecutive home games since dropping four straight January 25-February 15, 2012.
  • Senior Adam Blazek (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) ranks second all-time at Gannon with 184 career steals. The senior guard needs 13 steals to break Butch Warner's (1981-85) school record of 196.
  • Gannon leads the PSAC in scoring defense (54.3). However, the squad ranks 17th or 18th in four offensive categories.
  • The Golden Knights were predicted to defend their PSAC Western Division title in the league's preseason coaches poll.
  • Blazek ranks 20th all-time at Gannon with 1,174 career points, needing 14 to jump past Ron Johnson (1966-70) and into 19th place. He can move past Mike Crawford (1988-92) and into 18th place with 86 more points.

  • The Golden Eagles lead the PSAC in offensive rebounds per game (16.8) and steals per game (14.5).
  • B.J. Andrews tops all PSAC players with 2.8 steals per game.

UP NEXT
  • Gannon continues PSAC action Saturday, December 6 against No. 7 Indiana (Pa.) at the Hammermill Center.
  • The single game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The women's team plays at IUP that same night.
  • Gannon has won the last three meetings during a hotly-contested all-time series. Both programs have won 19 times during the series that dates back to the 1957-58 season.
  • IUP had won four consecutive games at the Hammermill Center until last year's 67-61 overtime loss. The Crimson Hawks are 7-12 all-time on Gannon's home floor.
  • Gannon swept last year's season series, winning 67-62 at IUP. It represented the Golden Knights' first season sweep since the 2008-09 NCAA Division II Elite Eight team accomplished the feat.
