ERIE, Pa. - The Gannon men's basketball team concludes a week of road games Saturday, February 11 at Clarion. Game time at the W.S. Tippin Gymnasium is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The men's contest can be heard live locally on Jet Radio 1400.

Gannon (11-10, 9-8 PSAC) rallied from a 14-point second-half deficit en route to a 77-73 overtime victory at rival Edinboro Wednesday night. The Golden Knights have played four overtime games this season for only the second time in the program's 68-year history. The 1987-88 squad that advanced to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight also needed an extra session four times.

Darrell Blanton recorded his ninth double-double against Edinboro, the most by a Knight in a single season since Kyle Goldcamp had 10 during the 2008-09 campaign.

T.J. Wilson also recorded a double-double Wednesday night with 15 points and 16 rebounds, shattering his previous career-high in rebounds by seven. Wilson and Blanton are the second Gannon duo to recorded double-doubles in the same game this season. Blanton and Stephen Battle accomplished the feat against Seton Hill during the Porreco Cup finals.

Gannon out-rebounded Edinboro 55-38, including a 17-4 edge on the offensive glass. It was the second time Gannon produced a plus-17 rebounding advantage this season. The Golden Knights matched the difference against Cheyney on December 9.

Clarion (14-9, 10-7) rides a two-game losing streak into the weekend. The Golden Eagles have dropped consecutive road games at nationally-ranked Indiana (Pa.) (68-65) and Mercyhurst (91-53). The squad opened the season 10-3, but has evened out to 4-6 during its last 10 contests.

Head coach Ron Righter's club can deal a serious blow to Gannon's playoff hopes. Clarion already owns a one-game lead over Gannon for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division's final playoff spot. A Gannon victory would pull the teams even and the season sweep would give the Golden Knights the tiebreaker advantage.

Saturday's contest features two of the league's brightest stars as Clarion's Winfield Willis and Gannon's Adam Blazek are two frontrunners for the PSAC Freshman of the Year award. Willis has logged the second-most minutes among all PSAC players, averaging 35.5 minutes per game. He is producing a team-high 16.7 points per game. Blazek has been on the floor 31.4 minutes per game while recording 14.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.7 steals through 21 games.

Gannon has won four consecutive games against Clarion and leads the all-time series 27-12. The Golden Knights have won 10 of the last 11 contests during the all-time series, including an 81-63 home victory on January 21. Gannon has won four of the last five games played at Clarion's W.S. Tippin Gymnasium.
