ERIE, Pa. - The No. 10 Gannon women's lacrosse team was hoping for redemption Tuesday afternoon with a second shot at East Stroudsburg who won earlier this season at Gannon University Field. Instead, the Warriors controlled the match throughout and rolled to a 16-8 victory in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) quarterfinals held at Gannon University Field.
East Stroudsburg will face Lock Haven in the PSAC semifinals scheduled for Friday, April 29 at West Chester. Mercyhurst challenges the host Golden Rams in the opener at 1 p.m. The Lakers earned a spot in the Final Four with a 13-10 quarterfinal victory at Bloomsburg. The conference title match is slated for Saturday, April 30 at 1 p.m.
Gannon and East Stroudsburg battled to a stalemate through the first 12 minutes. East Stroudsburg initially took a 3-1 lead, before

East Stroudsburg took control after that, rattling off four straight goals to assume a 7-3 lead. Then the rain came and lightning forced officials to halt the contest for 30 minutes at the 4:14 mark. Following the delay, both teams scored a goal and went to an abbreviated two-minute halftime with ESU leading 8-4.
Gannon seemed to be regaining momentum after the intermission. The Lady Knights scored the first three goals of the second half, cutting the deficit to 8-7 on
